If you mean the water in the oceans, it is the sun's energy that does this.

Water absorbs Kinetic Energy to 'heat up'. Therefore, any energy source that can impart Kinetic Energy to Water will heat it.

Where does energy in hot water come from?

energy actually heats in hot water it will feel like fire

What energy does a bath of hot water have?

the energy that a bath of hot water is thermal energy because the bath water ransfers to you to make you warmer and the bath water colder.

Can a container of hot water have the same thermal energy as a container of cold water?

No, it can't have the same thermal energy. The hot water loses energy to the surroundings. Cold is an absence of energy, as energy is removed the water becomes cold.

Hypothesis of mixing hot and cold water?

If cold and hot water are poured into the same container, then the cold water will gain energy and the hot water will lose energy, until the water as a whole has the same temperature

What is an advantage of a tankless water heater?

You do not run out of hot water, and do not lose energy in storing hot water.

What form of energy does a bath of hot water have?

it has thermal energy

Which evaporates faster hot water or cold water?

Hot water. Higher temperature means more kinetic energy, and energy is needed to change phases from liquid to gas (evaporation.)

Why does hot water evaperate faster then cold water?

Because water evaporates from heat energy which hot water has more of.

Do molocules move faster in hot or cold water?

Hot water, because they have more energy.

Will 1 liter of hot water have more or less heat energy than 2 liters of hot water why?

The 2 litres will have more thermodynamic energy - even if it not as hot.

Why does cold water warm up when added to hot water?

Heat energy is transferred from the hot water to the cold.

Why does potassium permanganate dissolve quicker in hot water?

because the the molecules of the otassium permanganent get energy from the hot water and than tthey move around faster (they spread daster because of the energy they get from the hot water)
