moderate compost, and manure is best in my personal experiances. keeps soil loose , and decomposing manure, nourishes potato . to good size growth. personal openion only. im not an expert just grew up in a small town were me and mother grew what we ate. we depended on our garden . jimmy in sasakwa Oklahoma.
