<There isn't any. Try adoption it's "free".>
<Yes there is. Try Planned Parenthood. They will advise you of any programs available for you.>
I live in Iowa and here there is assistance available in the form of private loans. When I was considering abortion I was given a phone number to call to borrow money & set up a payment plan. I finally decided if I was to have an abortion I would put it on my own credit card & leave this service for women who were needier than I. I haven't had an abortion and the whole experience made me feel strange. Even so one of my best friends had an abortion last week and she felt it was one of the best decisions of her life because she does not wish to change her current lifestyle which does not include baby-friendly activities. If you truly need cash there are all sorts of way to borrow money. You can tell a bank you need a 'car loan" or an 'educational loan". The people at Planned Parenthood weren't particularly helpful in this respect but a local feminist clinic had more resources they shared with me. If you need money I'm certain there is a woman who will help another woman in need -- take a friend with you -- remember, this is your life, the choice is yours, don't let ANYONE ELSE -->your male friend, your parents, your friends, make any decision you'll feel uncomfortable with.

Some states will pay for an abortion through a medical card otherwise, the National Abortion Federation operates a toll-free hotline which provides referrals for abortion services and funding. They can be reached at 1-800-772-9100. Thier website also provides a host of valuable information about abortion. Check it out at www.prochoice.org.

To the post above me, yes, adoption is free. The couple pays for all the medical expenses for the pregnant woman.

I don't know of any loans or government sponsored things.. I borrowed money from my sister and the way I put to her was this -- either I borrow this money now or I'm going to end up borrowing WAY more later because it costs a lot more to raise a child. She is "pro choice" to a point but she definately was against me getting one... until I put it to her like that. I was and still am in NO financial condition to raise a child and if you are asking about funding for the abortion I'm guessing you aren't either... I'd advise you to find a friend or relative you can trust and who can trust you. Make a payment plan with them and put it in writing so that they know you are serious about paying them back. Of course I never even thought of asking Planned Parenthood but they might have some good advice also. It always seemed weird to me that of everyone I've met, they're to poor to raise a kid, let alone pay for the abortion... Yeah you could give it up for adoption but if the major reason you're not keeping it is money, you're probably gonna change your mind after 9 months of carrying it and you'll want to keep it anyways... Obviously you could choose welfare but I made a little to much to even qualify to I was just out of luck... in any case I wish you the best of luck!
