This depends on the chemical.
An emetic may bring up the chemicals, and a lot of water may dilute them.
For dangerous chemicals you may need to seek help immediately by calling 911 (or 999 in the UK).
Kitchens may have different chemicals in them such as detergents, scouring powders, cleaning solutions etc.
Best thing to do is follow the safety and first-aid instructions on the container of the chemical
If the container is unavailable, take the person and the remaining chemical to nearest hospital for analysis and treatment
Call Poison Control.
First aid treatment will depend on what sanitizing agent they've ingested.
Wash out your eye with water and contact a poison control center, Doctor, or ER.
You should immediatly contact poison control and they will give you instuction based on the exact agent swallowed.
Flush eyes with plenty of water. If one eye is affected, keep it below the uneffected side to prevent further contamination. Call 911 if it is a serious chemical.
Call Poison Control (18002221222) and tell them what happened. Follow their instructions exactly.

Flush the eyes with large amounts of water for 15 minutes minimum. If only 1 eye is contaminated, do not flush down into the other eye.
Call poison control. If it is just ethanol, they should be okay as that is consumed anyway in alcoholic beverages, but isopropanol or another sanitizer could be toxic.
Protect yourself
Try to flush out your eyes with water. DO NOT RUB, and try not to close your eyes. I know it burns but try not to.
