Cold water Freshwater Fish include goldfish and koi. If you are thinking of getting a goldfish they need at least a 20 gallon tank each. They also poop a lot which brings up ammonia levels. On the bright side, cold water fish don't need a heater. =)
To specify the actual differences in scientific medical terminology is way beyond me to do and probably way beyond you to understand if you don't have a degree in Marine Biology and Veterinarary Science. Basically the differences are in the fishes ability to handle different water conditions. In the case of cold water fish, their gills are used to higher density oxygen than the tropical fishes gills so in warmer water the gills are not as efficient and the fish run out of Oxygen. Then there are the the vital organs like the heart, liver, kidneys etc that are designed to operate at specifically lower temperatures than the tropicals whose organs would stop working once the temperature gets too low. So basically Cold water fish would get hypo in tropical conditions and not being able to breath properly they would burn out and Tropicals would go slower and slower in cold water until their organs stop working and they die.

The difference is in the name; tropicals come from the tropics and require warm water (around 80F), whereas coldwater species are from non tropical climates and require colder water (50F-70F).
"Tropical" simply means the aquarium is kept above 60F. "Marine" simply means the water in the aquarium has had sea salt added to make the water into sea water. Therefore it is possible to have aquaria that are "Tropical", or "Marine", and also "Tropical marine".
marine can be used in water or alot of moisture
Salt in the water. Salt water.
These spectacular fish (Pseudanthias species) are tropical marine (salt water) fish.
Salt in the water. Salt water.
Land Crabs live on land and Marine crabs live in water.
NO do not put tropical and marine fish together because marine fish have salt water that has to have specific things in it other Wise they will die .but tropical fish just have to have warm water with a heater .you cant mix these together because of the water and ALL your fish will DIE.
It may be wise to try keeping ordinary fresh water tropical fish successfully before you try marine species. There is a lot to learn about water quality control in a Marine environment.
Not necessarily. It can be fresh, brackish, or marine.
I think the word marine is any thing that has to do with the marine or water world such as water living creatures and man made sea or water moving objects while maritime has to do with the activities involved in the marine or water world.
Marine fish live in the sea but cold water fish live in cold seas like in the seas of Greenland.
