Because Red Velvet cake is basically vanilla cake with red food coloring you could add any flavor you want.
If the flavor you are adding does not go with vanilla you could just swap it out.
Hope this helps :o)
Yes.
It depends on how much of a blueberry flavor you want. For the average amount of cake batter, add about 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of extract.
It is a type of chocolate cake. Red velvet cake is not the same as adding red food coloring to chocolate cake. But if you want the same color as one, but don't mind it not tasting like a Red Velvet cake, you can add two ounces of red food coloring to a standard chocolate cake mix or recipe. Also, red velvet cake is usually frosted with a cream cheese frosting or a cooked, whipped frosting.
Definitely not. You can include some peanut butter if you want the flavor, but peanut butter isn't pure fat like butter so you'll still need most of the butter.
Yes, but I have never tried it.
definitely not, it adds vanilla flavor. you should put one pudding cup into 1 batter of cake mix. that's what i do and it comes out awesome. i mix all wet ingredients first then add dry slowly while mixing, i mix it for about 2 minutes and then add the pudding and mix well. hope this works out for you.
Put 1/3 of the dry cake mix in a bowl. Add 1/2 the milk and stir to combine. Add 1/2 the remaining cake mix to the bowl, stir to combine. Add remainder of milk to the bowl. Stir to combine. Add remainder of cake mix to bowl. Stir to combine. Cake-milk-cake-milk-cake = three additions, beginning and ending with cake mix. :) Don't overmix your batter, or the cake will be tough.
You have to add about 3 puddings to make a cake mix moist.
12 oz can of whatever compliments the flavor of cake you are using.
I've always made them from scratch, but if I were going to try using a devils food cake mix, I would substitute the amount of water called for in the directions with an equal amount of buttermilk with one teaspoon of vinegar and two ounces of red food coloring. Just add the food coloring and vinegar in the measuring cup first, then add the buttermilk until it is the same amount of water called for in the directions.
Red Velvet Cake normally requires 2 large eggs, so unless you use a commercial egg substitute, your cake will be slightly different from traditional Red Velvet Cake. If for some reason you cannot use an egg substitute product, you can replace each egg with a tablespoon of oil and two tablespoons of water.
One step is the cake mix and the lemon pie filling... no water or other ingredient.
