∙ 15y agollamas eat a large amount of food. i think. No they do not! llamas eat very little! 1/4 of what a horse eats. They say, 4 lbs of hay for a 300lb. llama. They only need grain (horse or goat will do) if they are nursing, packing, breeding, under weight, or close to birth. They also need fresh water and pasture.
