Due to general lifestyle changes and economic expansion, household baking has declined considerably; individual consumers increasingly tend to purchase their bread, dough, and mixes prepared from grocery stores and bakeries.
The 'crumb' of bread is the texture it breaks down to when rubbed between the hands after cooking. It is directly related to the hardness of the wheat used and the degree to which the gluten of the dough was developed before cooking.
Most grocery stores begin selling the Pillsbury holiday sugar cookies right after Halloween. They can be found found in most large grocery chains, such as Kroger, Walmart, Price Chopper, HyVee, Target, etc.
In the grocery where the cake mixes are. You can also get sugar cookie dough ready to bake in the refrigerated section where the canned biscuits are.

Many people find that when switching to a what-free diet, for a gluten intolerance or a wheat allergy or Celiac Disease, the best substitute for wheat is rice. Rice can be used in place of wheat in many recipes, including bread, pizza dough, rolls, and almost anything wheat-based. Most health stores or specialty stores, and even many grocery stores, carry rice flour, for use in a lot of these recipes. It can be very easy to switch to a no-wheat diet and still get the same nutrients, including even a few more, from a rice diet.
