In 1966, he switched from playing the Rickenbacker electric to playing an Epiphone Casino, his main axe for the rest of his career with the Beatles. He later had the sunburst finish removed from this guitar and this is the guitar he is seen playing in the promo clips for "Hey Jude," "Revolution," and "Get Back."
He is also seen playing a Fender Bass IV in several sequences from the movie Let It Be.
