Well it's impossible for anything to be that similar to Fruits Basket, what with the Zodiac and all, but there are some good choices. Here are some good supernatural mangas without ghosts and stuff: Gakuen Alice- Mikan follows her best friend Hotaru from her hometown to this "genius" school called Alice Academy in Tokyo. However, while Hotaru was accepted into the school, Mikan, who ran away from home to follow Hotaru, could not get in. She meets a teacher, who claims she has an "Alice" which is a special power (like telekenisis, barrier, levitation, illusion, pherome, nullification) and that Alice Academy is for special people with Alices. She is then accepted into the Academy and meets an interesting boy named Natsume with a Fire Alice. This is an extremely popular manga so I recommend it strongly! It's got quite a couple of chapters so it'll keep you busy!
