lots of things happened for example one of the pros were that india was an english speaking nation which helps today with all the companies setting up call centers there and bringing over scientists and doctors to the USA. But there were many cons too. India wanted independence, and the british treated them like ugly people who can't survive on their own. They were very mean to the Indians. Thanks to Gandhi, the ultimate freedom fighter, India got its freedom, but sadly had to risk Gandhi's life for it.
