montserrat erupted because the descrutive plate underneath it forced magma up and out of the volcano causing it to erupt. hope this was helpfull YOU PEICE OF SH()T I BET YOUR A DUMB F()CK WHO CANT EVEN SPELL MONTSERRAT.

it took a few months for the volcanoe to erupt but when it did 3 pyroclastic flows down the mountain at 80mph and it spreaded over a third of the moutain killing 19 people , after that happend the rest of the people was evacuated before more could be killed and the volcanoe would erupt.

because the rub and create friction, friction makes heat and the heat slowly melts the plates which creates magma tjhe magma slowly rises and builds up pressure under the plates.
