About 2 years ago, it was reported by a local news station in Waxahachie, Texas, that the young lady who played Kathy (Lauren King) was auditioning for American Idol in Dallas, Texas. She did not make it past the first round audition. If I'm not mistaken, she was 21 years old at the time of the audition. She has since dyed her hair blonde. At the time of the audition, her hair was layered on the ends.
