Joe Penny the actor of "Jake & the Fatman," "Riptide," "Blood Vows: The Story of A Mafia Bride, "Family of Cops" movies, Jane Doe Mysteries," etc., is just fine & still living in S. CA. Up until a few years ago, he lived in the home he bought with his "Riptide" money (which he mentions in interviews) in Toluca Lake, CA, a lovely area just outside of Burbank. He recently appeared in an episode of CSI:NY and made personal appearances, along with this former "Riptide" co-stars, Perry King & Thom Bray, at the Hollywood Celebrity Show, taking pictures with fans, signing Autographs & looking SO handsome & sexy!

No. Any man who has dated Rhonda Shear is not definetely not gay. Remember Rhonda she hosted USA Up all Night during the 90's. Well they dated for awhile, there are pictures of them together (for those doubters) for sale on ebay. Just because he never married doesn't mean he's gay. The guy has dated many beautiful ladies over the years. Several have appeared on his series with him. I remember one lady an actress he was dating appeared on Riptide during the last season, another was on Jake and the Fatman during the time it was taped in Hawaii. They weren't famous so I don't remember their names but Rhonda is unforgettable.

I'm gay. I can honestly say that a woman like Rhonda would be the perfect "beard" for a gay man. In fact, she was so "camp" herself, that to me, his dating her would lead me to believe or suspect even more-so that he might be gay. Can't say for sure either way because I don't know the man, but I always did pick up a gay vibe whenever I watched him on TV. ;-)

NO, NO, NO, NO, Joe Penny is NOT gay! Just because a man isn't married, & he is NOT married, doesn't mean anything. He had a serious girlfriend many years ago & she broke his heart, so he's very gunshy. He's even spoken about this relationship in interviews. He's also said that he never wanted children because he was responsible for his brothers, sisters & step-siblings at an early age.

His little brother has been on some show in the early 90's Matchmaker... He has worked with his brother on a movie called The Last Word... He worked on Joe's tv show as a creative adviser on Jane Doe. His brother is a Law Enforcement Officer and has worked on some shows with Joe. They are very close and see each other a lot in the Palm Springs area where Joe lives now....
