What happened to survivors of the Holocaust?

Answer:
The answer is as varied and different as each person. Some went to the US, Canada, or Israel. Others stayed where they were in the relocation camps. Still others went to Latin America, while a few ended up in England. The only thing is that there were very few who went back to Germany, preferring to emigrate to another country where they could build new lives.

_________

Survivors suffered poor health, lessened physical activity, less social support, greater difficulty in basic activities of daily living and greater usage of psychiatric medication. Many kept the tragedy to themselves but some shared the brutal details 40 years later to eager students or anyone who wanted to learn.
