The whole group of hotels in that area of Sunny Isles (except for one) that were built in the 50's were wrecked so that high rise condos could be constructed. The area you are talking about is the 15500-16500 blocks of Collins Avenue. The hotel immediately south of the Aztec was the Kimberly, whose address was 15801. If I am not mistaken the area where the Aztec used to be is now a Trump Tower.
