Why doesn't the Doug Banks morning show air in Nashville anymore?

Radio Online is reporting that ABC Radio Networks has ended the syndicated "Doug Banks Morning Show," which aired in some 35 markets nationwide. Banks' final morning program aired last Monday, however, it is possible that Banks' may return as "The Doug Banks Show" in afternoons on ABC Radio later this year. The radio vet has been syndicated by ABC since 1996. He signed a multi-year contract extension in March, 2006.

∙ 16y agoWhen a syndicated show like Doug Banks is canceled, it's one of two things:
1. Ratings are poor
2. Station doesn't see the profit margin.
Stations are always looking for "fresh" shows...
