More or less, on demand video and rent-by-mail services happened. These are more convenient and more comprehensive than brick-and-mortar video stores, so people don't go to places like Blockbuster anymore. As a result, they're quickly going out of business.

∙ 13y agoBlockbuster is going out of business because of competing companies such as Netflix and red box. These companies cost a lot less to rent movies at prices that no one could say no to.
