WOW!You can go to jail for statutory rape in whatever state your in. Hope the parents understand that your willing to pay half of the child's expenses for the rest of your life. Got a job? Go get one if not. Chances are she will file for child support and for the next 18 years of your life 33% of your check will go to this 16 year old.

My fiance is 19 and I'm 16 and i just had our baby. I'm living with him and he pays for mostly everything. He is the greatest father i have ever seen, and if i didnt have him i would have most likely dropped out of school to take care of the baby. But his grandmom watches Caiden while im in school so i don't have to, so i can finish my education. My guardians hate my fiance and tried to get him locked up and charged with statutory rape. (The thing is if she is 16 and there is less then a four year difference between the two of you, the law cant do anything. The "legal age of concent" is 18 yeah, but at the age 16 you are old enough to know whats wrong whats right, what sex is what the consequences are. The whole nine yards. )So when they took him to court they saw that were only 3 years 9 days apart and he takes care of and loves his son. and without him id just be another drop out, they didnt do anything. SOOO if there is less then a 4 year difference, and your taking care of your baby and your woman, they're not gonna do anything, AND ITS NOT ILLEGAL AND IT DOESNT MAKE YOU A "STATUTORY RAPIST" it just makes you someone who loves someone a few years younger then you, and my bet is that she's wise beyond her years anyway, and a little more responsible then most 16 year olds. Depending on the gaurdians of the 15 year old, and whether or not the 20-year old has proof that the sexual intercourse was consentual, the consequences can lead to jail-time for the 20 year old and/or a law suit against the 20 year old. An adult (someone over the age of 18) having sexual intercourse with a minor (anyone under the age of 18) is illegal.

It's irrelevant when the baby is born since it's the sex that is illegal. The sex could have been legal if there was close in age exemptions to the law in your state, otherwise it was statutory rape since she is under the age of consent. Anyone can report this and not just her parents. A judge can also find the age of consent should be higher and raise it to 18 because of the pregnancy and age difference.
