What happens if the ball goes off the back line and is then hit by the defender?

Ok Two Senarios...

1. If its been touched by the defence team.

  • then a long corner is given to the attacking team

2. If its been touched by the attacking team

  • the defence is awareded a 16yard Hit level with where it came off

These two are regardless of the fact that the defender hit the ball when it had already gone off the back line as the ball is out of play and thus is a dead ball.
