You go to the court and file a violation of a court order. You will both be served the petition and have to go back to court and that's when you explain to the judge he hasn't been showing, and the judge will deal with the situation on the assigned court date.

Nothing. A parent cannot be forced to visit with his child. If the situation continues the custodial parent could petition the court to modify the visitation order so the custodial parent and child will not be required to plan their life around a no show parent's scheduled visitations.

This is going to depend on who is the respondent and who is the defendant, and at what stage in the court process your case has travelled. In many cases, they may simply adjourn the court date to another date in the future, or in other cases, they may decide on a ruling at that time. This will depend on your case.

His request may be denied or the court may postpone the hearing. You need to contact or visit the court to determine what action was taken.

What happens when you are paying child support but being denied visitation and your child resides in a different state?

The non-custodial parent should file for visitation rights for the child in the county where custody was given. If the parent who has custody of the child is preventing the non-custodial parent the right of visitation they can be found in contempt of court if visitation has already been established. If the custodial parent has too many repeated contempts filed against them, custody can be switched to the other parent.
