What happens if the sac around your heart is to fill with fluid?

Supervised by Itamar Medical
Whether your pericardium (heart sac) gets filled with fluid due to trauma or a medical condition, it puts stress on your heart as the pressure builds up against the heart, therefore, it will get harder and harder for your heart to pump out blood which will result in shock and usually death if left untreated. BTW this condition is called "cardiac tamponade."
