Nothing will happen to your hair while in braids if you have a relaxer as long as you take care of it. Braids are actually a great way to pro-long relaxer application. I am relaxed and relax my hair between 12-16 weeks with the help of braids and my hair is almost to my bra-strap.

Well it's not exactly possible to braid one hair... so I'd say you're good!
