Nothing will happen to your hair while in braids if you have a relaxer as long as you take care of it. Braids are actually a great way to pro-long relaxer application. I am relaxed and relax my hair between 12-16 weeks with the help of braids and my hair is almost to my bra-strap.
When taking advice about hair..make sure the person has long or HEALTHY hair before actually following their advice.
There are hundreds of BLACK women on the longhaircareforum www.longhaircareforum. with hair down to their waist who use braids to help grow their hair.
You can also check out http://www.growafrohairlong.com/ who show you the crown and glory step by step which is a braided regimen to help grow your hair.
Well it's not exactly possible to braid one hair... so I'd say you're good!
it causes breakage.
NO, Your hair is already being damaged by the perm or relaxer. I would wait a while before applying bleach to it. It will kill your hair and will cause hair loss, frizz and damaged hair.
It's harmful to your hair. Remove it as son as possible.
Rule #1 : no wetting including washing & swimming 5 days before putting a perm in it. Chances are the chlorine would still be in your hair and will react to the perm chemicals and result in hair loss and or the perm will not take to your hair. Also no wetting 24 hrs prior to applying the perm or the chemicals will not take to the hair and it woukd be a waste of time.
yes i would like to know while im using ketoconazole 2% shampoo should i perm my jair
A perm is permanent. It doesn't matter about the straightness of your hair. A perm breaks down the bonds in the hair that make it straight. The perm will last until your hair grows out.
no, just the hair.
you could get a perm or semi perm at the hair dressers
It depends on the perm but it will burn though your hair because you would have just got it perm
Perms are chemical. A perm can not be cleaned out of the hair. A perm can only be removed by other chemicals, or time will wear a perm out. If you choose to remove your perm with chemical perm remover, you take a big risk of the added chemicals doing damage to your hair and scalp.
Nope, but it will take the curls out of your hair and ruin your perm.
