First, you are PERSONALLY held financially liable for damages you cause. You are required to pay for damage to other cars, injuries to people or animals, damage caused to real estate (houses, landscaping, business property and any other structure or apurtenance to the land) and anythine ELSE that you might damage that is not specifically covered. Second, your driving privileges can be revoked until such time as you satisfy the damages that you cause. Third, you can be criminally prosecuted for failure to carry insurance. But all of the above are dependant upon the laws in YOUR state. Whatever YOUR legislature has passed into law will determine what happens to you.
