You can get some really bad stomach pains. I don't think that you can hold them in forever. It usually comes out when your sleeping when your body is relaxed if your holding it in all day. My suggestion is to find a place out of the way of other people and if you have to, then let it rip. It's a natural function of the body but we have to try and be a little discreet about location.
