What happens if you purchase an expensive cellphone on your credit card then leave the US?

Not sure I understand but if you leave you still owe the money. Can they shut down, take the cell phone, NO. But if you don't pay the cell bill the cell company will shut off your service. understand CC debt is unsecured debt that means nothing you buy with the card can be seized. Of course they can get a judgment and then seize property.
