A person can take a maximum dose of 3200 mg of ibuprofen over a 24 hour period... whether that 3200mg is taken over 4 hours or 18 will not make much of a difference as far as possibly hurting yourself.

Get emergency medical help if you have chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of stomach bleeding such as black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.

Do not take more of this medication than is recommended. An overdose of ibuprofen can cause damage to your stomach or intestines.

Your fine as long as they were the 200mg tablets. The prescription version comes in both 600mg and 800mg.
