Scripture says: "The kingdom of heaven is like a net which was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind; when it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into vessels but threw away the bad. So it will be at the close of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear" (Matthew Ch 13)
Note the difference between the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God the Father. If you study the Kingdom of Heaven also known as the kingdom of God in Scripture you will se that the Kindom of heaven contains both heaven and earth until the Last Day. "….Then comes the end, when he (Christ our King and ruler of the kingdom of heaven) delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power." (1 Corinthians)
the bible clearly states at Ecclesiastes 9:5 that the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all; because the rememberance of them has been forgotten. So the bible teaches that when you die that you die and that is all...but in Revelation and also in some of Pauls writings the bible teaches of a Resurection into God's new Kingdom...some believe that this will happen after Armegedon or "the Apocalypse." So then the dead would be just waiting to be resurected...if you want to know more then you should research your bible some more.
