A lotion is a low- to medium-Viscosity, topical preparation intended for consumption to unbroken Skin Cream and Gels. Most lotions are oil-in-water Emulsion using a substance such as Cetearyl to keep the emulsion together, but water-in-oil lotions are also formulated. Lotions are usually applied to external skin with bare hands, a clean cloth, cotton wool or Gauze; creams and gels usually only with one's fingers or palms. Many lotions, especially hand creams and face creamare formulated not as a Medicinedelivery system, but simply to smooth and soften the skin-these are particularly popular with the aging and aged demographic groups, and in the case of face usage, can also be classified as a cosmetic in many cases, and frequently contains fragrances.

∙ 12y agoShampoo will freeze when put in ice, but your shower can only produce two temperatures which are cold (not ice) and hot (also not ice), so you do not have to worry about shampoo in your shower.

∙ 12y agoIt gets hard, expands and possibly splits the bottle--a DEFINITE problem for truck drivers in the winter when they're hauling a whole trailer full of it. But if you thaw it out, it goes back to normal.
