I think you meant what happens to the gas particles when the temperature decreases. If the volume of gas is constant(eg in a fixed container), the pressure of the gas will decrease. If the gas is in a container with a variable volume(eg. balloon), the volume of gas will decrease.

Kinetic energy of gas particles decrease.

If the gas has a constant volume then the pressure dereases. (Gay-Lussacs Law)

If the gas is under constant pressure then the volume will decrease. (Charles's Law)

Ulimately as kinetic energy decreases (root mean square) the ability of the gas particles to overcome intermolecular attractive forces will decrease and a phase change may occur.

Lowering the temperature will cause a decrease in gas pressure in a closed container.

What happens to a gas temperature at a given pressure?

In a closed system with constant pressure and no input or output of heat, the gas temperature will remain constant. In that same system, if the pressure is increased, then the gas temperature will also increase. If pressure is decreased, then the gas temperature will decrease.
