It doesn't disappear, it goes into the atmosphere and converts to heat energy which is then used for other uses such as powering something.
It is wasted, and can no longer be used. Usually the energy will be in the form of heat energy, which is not concentrated enough to be of any use.
the energy wasted by the system(boiler) is gained by the surrounding atmosphere

Its absorbed by the atmosphere:D<3
If the energy is not transferred, it will stay where it was. Or it may be wasted somewhere.

It is usually wasted.

Energy is dissipated as heat and light
The cooling system moves the heat (thermal energy) to the air.
Most of it is converted to heat, but the remainder is wasted.

kinetic energy is wasted
The same happens when just about any device is turned on. The reason is that part of the energy that is converted is wasted - and the waste energy usually becomes heat energy.
