You're probably talking about choking. Choking appears when an object goes down the wrong tube. You see, your esophagus and bronchular tube cross. Normally, when you're eating, two flaps cover up and seal the bronchular tube from the esophagus so the food goes down only one tube. But, when you're choking, you swallow too fast for your brain to react and close up the bronchular tube, so the food leaks in and you start choking to get it out. Windpipe is another name for your bronchular tube. If it isn't what's happening in what I just described, you probably have an allergy to some foods and you have an allergic reaction to them, which may be choking, getting a rash, or fainting.
Blockage of the trachea or the passage to the lungs.
More detail:
The most common causes of choking occurs when a person is eating, and the food goes down the trachea (wind pipe), instead of the esophagus. This can happen if the person inhales before swallowing the food, such as when they have a sudden urge to cough, or when they swallow too fast without chewing their food well enough. When this does happen, it blocks their air passage and prevents them from getting oxygen.
when you smoke a cigarette you are breathing in over a 100 different chemicals alot being poisonous including rat poison and laundry detergent. you're lungs are only supposed to breathe in air, so its like when food goes down the wrong hole only with a 100 different chemicals
You're airway becomes obsturcted causing a lack of oxygen to circulate through the lungs.
Food goes down the trachea instead of the esophagus when you choke.
you hiccup when you eat because you are eating fast so u should slow down:)
The epiglottis covers (closes off) the windpipe during swallowing. That's why you can't breathe and swallow at the same time.
To cough it up
Cuz You eat too quickly
It depends on how skilled you are or how unhealthy you are. If you eat bad food, your body may be confused and make you hiccup. And, if you are skilled, you can make yourself hiccup. Personally, I can't do it.
no it only happens 4 wat u eat<--------------------- Actually, you can make yourself hiccup. All you do is suck in air and act like you are hiccuping. The only thing about fake hiccuping is that it makes you actually hiccup.
