Buddhism regards death and rebirth as a cycle which continues endlessly until enlightenment is attained. At that point the essence of the person may enter state of Nirvana or egoless self. Some Buddhists feel the enlightened person may opt not to enter to Nirvana but return to the cycle of death and rebirth to instruct others in their progress towards enlightenment. The period between death and rebirth is not consistent in all Buddhist sects
Buddhist believe that there is a cycle of birth, life and death and rebirth. This goes on and on. They believe that unless someone gains Nirvania, when they die they will be reborn. If a person can gain Nirvania, they can break out of this cycle.

For Buddhists, death is not the end of life, it is merely the end of the body we inhabit in this life. Buddhists believe in rebirth. Buddhists beleive that our spirit will still remain and seek out attachment to a new body and new life. Where and how we will be reborn is a result of the accumulation of positive and negative action, and the resultant karma (cause and effect). Therefore we could be born into a completely different situation after death of our current bodies depending how we acted in this life. If we were very bad in this life you might be born as a lower being, but not with your current level of consciousness. That is if you are reborn into the Animal realm your consciousness is that of an animal.
If a person reaches enlightenment in their current life they may decide to not be reborn and pass out of the realm of birth, death and rebirth.
There are a number of teachings on this subject, different Buddhist schools may offer slightly different views. To try and generalise I can say that most Buddhists expect to be reincarnated in one form or another until they attain liberation.
you return as a creature of any kind depending on your lifestyles and deeds and such
Buddhists believe that until you are fully enlightened, you reincarnate into another life form in the material world. Catholics believe that after you die, you either go to heaven, hell, or purgatory.
Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs believe in reincarnation.
People who believe in Buddha are commonly called Buddhists. They practice Buddhism
Buddhists believe in nirvana and thus do not believe in hurting anything.Their religion bans drugs.
The basis of Buddhism is that the person dies and is reborn. This continues until the person is enlightened at which point they can enter Nirvana a selfless state. Some people do not enter Nirvana to return to the cycle of death and rebirth to aid others in becoming enlightened. Non-Buddhists, such as Christians, believe that Buddhists die and go to the Christian hell for not becoming Christians. Non-Buddhists such as atheists, believe that when anybody dies they simply cease to exist.
