ADDERALL OXYCODONE ANSWERAdderall is a stimulant used to treat ADHD or NARCOLEPSY. Oxycodone is a narcotic painkiller used to treat moderate to severe pain. Adderall is a mixture of the two "isomers" (same thing, just mirror images of each like your hands) of amphetamine and Oxycodone/Oxycontin is a narcotic that may slow down your respiratory system. Therefore, they have opposite affects however mixing these medications can be dangerous and you may get an additive affect leading to increased oxycodone in your system and respiratory depression. Adderall will increase your heart rate and therefore will increase the oxycodone in your system that could enhance the euphoric affects, lead to respiratory depression and in certain cases COULD BE FATAL depending on your dose, tolerance and other factors. It is important to discuss with your doctor or pharmacist.

If your doctor prescribed both to you, ASK him because this is not commonly done; usually adderall is prescribed by a doctor in a different field that specialize to treat conditions such as ADHD or Narcolepsy whereas a specialist such as a pain management doctor will treat chronic pain. Still there exceptions and there are doctors such as family doctors that may prescribe pain medication for acute pain and medications such as adderall. It is important to let all doctors know what medications you are being prescribed by your all your doctors to avoid drug/drugs interactions. Of course, also ask your pharmacist if there are any concerns for "drug/drug" interaction. This is extremely important because there are potentially many other medications not discussed here that may have an adverse affects too.

Oxycodone, trade names vary from country to country does NOT contain acetaminophen(paracetamol, (panadol and so on) But some lower strength analgesics combine acetaminophen to both increase the painkillers efficacy and also to restrict it's abuse since at high levels acetaminophen is hepatoxic (toxic to the liver) not to mention extremely dangerous in overdose. There is a therapeutic dosage index which suggests that paracetamol (or acetaminophen ) has no greater pain relieving properties at 500mg in adult users than larger amounts so it's not only a waste of time and money if you're overusing this for analgesic(pain-killing) properties) but if you are using such aforementioned combinations containing both oxycodone and acetaminophen/paracetamol,especially in combination with alcohol, to chase a high you are already putting a huge and very possibly lethal strain on the body. And I must include personal experience that overdosage on acetaminophen/paracetamol is not just mildly unpleasant but violently painful and deadly, not a nice way to die at all, even if that were your intention. I have died 6 times believe it or not.

Now to answer the actual question here mixing pure oxycodone (without paracetamol/acetaminophen)with alcohol can potentiate the risk factors involved already present, don't think for a second that removing the paracetamol/acetaminophen is going to make co-administration of oxycodone and alcohol alright because both are also hepatoxic and may cause extreme side effects such as central nervous system depression causing breath depression which can lead to death just as surely as if you took a handful of Barbiturate based sleeping or hypnotic medicines.

The bottom line is this, Do NOT mess with opiates. Even opiate resistant people are susceptible to these side effects, even more so considering their resistance comes from common or overuse of any opiate, from codeine to morphine and beyond these drugs are developed to produce a clinical effect i.e reducing pain, not to get high. You may think that getting high on pharmaceuticals is safer than using street obtained opiates but let me ask you this, If you were able to purchase a tablet which contained the equivalent of a standard drink of alcohol, having prior knowledge of what excessive drinking could do to you would you take the whole packet? Alcohol is dangerous when used irresponsibly as are all substances you put into your body in excess. So unless you have a death wish, it would serve you well to follow the sage advice of our predecessors and if using anything, use it in moderation. Or put it this way; is the high worth death? Becoming vegetative, living with permanent dialysis requirements and (if you have them putting your family through hell. The short answer is NO. And if you think you are smarter than drugs then why can they have such lethal side effects sometimes at small doses in even "drug tolerant" people? Think again and when you're done think again. Google "So you think you're smarter than drugs" for a clearer picture of what might happen if you think you're invincable...Don't be scared to ask or investigate for help options, and if you have any questions or comments i'd very much like to hear them. Peace my friends, drugs may be fun but sometimes the risks outweigh the benefits!

First of all you should NOT be taking pills that are not prescribed by your doc. With that said, NOTHING! I have changed from hydro to oxy from my ortho doc in the same day and overlapped them. Oxy is just one class stronger and you will graduate from hydro to oxy as your tolerance builds if you are on them for chronic pain. I have been taking oxy for 5+ years now and they work for quite a while before needing increase but hydro you build tolerance to fairly quickly. Don't get me wrong, you do get tolerance to the side effects from the oxy so you don't really feel the high anymore but the pain relief is still there. There is no way to take oxy for long periods and keep the high going without increasing often and then you will eventually get cut off by your doc and have the worst withdraws in you life and you will want to DIE, if you don't do it first by od'ing trying to keep the high on your own! These are not candy pills and people are really foolish to be playing with them for recreation!

I have never tried this particular combination, but I have mixed other opioids (oxycodone, morphine, codeine) with Adderall at various doses of each substance.

The good: it feels amazing. And there's no pharmacological danger in mixing the two, per se.

The bad: the Adderall will make you more alert, letting you take higher doses of the opioids than you normally would. This could lead to the risk of an overdose. Or vice-versa - the opioids will cause you to take too much Adderall.

While there is a theoretical risk of death if you are a complete idiot and push this to extremes, there is a very real and likely risk of a vicious hangover and/or comedown.

If you are to utilize this combination, you must have the self discipline to take only your normal dose of each drug, and no more.

I suppose I should have looked this up before trying it.. I took a 20 mg Adderall XR at about 9 AM before one of my classes started. As my day went on I was fine and but I started coming down off the adderall. At about 6 PM I started smoking oxy 30 mg (Ms). After 3 roxies and a couple hours later I decided to smoke some weed. 4 hits in I couldn't control my coughing. Finally after I was able to control my cough I felt terrible. My heart began beating faster and faster. At this point my heart was beating so fast I felt a heart attack coming on. I t

They are both opiates, so you will simply experience opiate-like effects. I don't believe it is a dangerous combo unless you go overboard.
