Some of the salt will dissolve in the "rubbing alcohol," which normally contains between 9% and 25% water. However, salt is insoluble in pure alcohol, so much of the salt will remain in its granular form.

Nothing. You have a mixture of rubbing alcohol and rock salt. But, it works great for cleaning glass (420) because the alcohol dissolves the resin and the rock salt works as an abrasive to get everything nice and clean.

  1. The crystals of salt provides nucleation centers where bubbles of oxygen form and this accelerates the rate of decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.
  2. The salt does not participate in any chemical reaction (not even as a catalyst).
  3. The water in the hydrogen peroxide dissolves some of the salt crystals, reducing the number of of nucleation centers (gradually slowing the rate of decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen back to its normal rate).

There is no chemical reaction except their densities are different and it is a great liquid for cleaning glass such as windows, plates etc.
