When you put a white flower in food coloring the flower drinks the food die and the pettals change to the color you put the flower in. Its a great science experiment for science fairs and you can get a great amount of facts.

∙ 14y agoyes it does work just do it with a white carnation and choose a food dye and mix the food dye with water and put the stem in the water/food dye and just wait until it changes colors. which takes about 30 min 1 hour hour and a half so just wait for it to change. i got a white carnation and im making it blue :)
