You can get zinc poisoning if you take in more than 10 times the RDA of zinc. Zinc is an intestinal irritant, and the first sign of zinc poisoning is usually intestinal distress. This includes vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and nausea. Further symptoms of zinc poisoning are low blood pressure, urine retention, jaundice, seizures, joint pain, fever, coughing, and a metallic taste in the mouth. If not caught and treated, zinc poisoning can be deadly.

Keeping in mind that you would need to eat more than 50mg of elemental zinc daily (220mg zinc sulfate) for a period of time, or have existing renal disease which allowed its accumulation, zinc deficiency may be observed as cracks around the ends of the mouth. Also, your immune system could be weakened, and it could interfere with absorption of other minerals and lower your HDL ("good") cholesterol level.

The human body has 2-4 grams of zinc distributed throughout the body. Most zinc is in the brain, muscle, bones, kidney, and liver, with the highest concentrations in the prostate and parts of the eye. Semen is particularly rich in zinc, which is a key factor in prostate gland function and reproductive organ growth.

An adult needs 8 mg for a woman and 11 mg for a man. Since the body absorbs only 20-30% of the zinc it gets, it's safe to eat up to 40-50 mg of zinc per day. 100-500 mg of zinc per day can cause very serious side effects, and the longer you do it for the worse the effects will be. To little zinc can also be harmful. In short be careful about the amounts of zinc you eat, just like anything else you eat.

Nothing. Zinc is more reactive than copper, and zinc has already undergone oxidation to become an ion (remember, zinc nitrate is soluble.) So the copper will just sit there because it's not reactive enough to do anything.

Zinc does. Zinc is a naturally occurring, and needed nutrient. Having enough zinc will cause your body to make more testosterone. So one pill a day will be enough to help you raise your testosterone. If you take too much then it has negative effects on your whole body as does any other nutrient.
