The FDA requires all products like that to print an expiration date. The only thing that happens is that effectiveness cannot be guaranteed by the manufacturer of the hand sanitizer.

∙ 9y agoExpired hand sanitizer still holds some effectiveness after the expiration date. If the product is well past the expiration date, or if it looks or smells bad, it should be discarded.
