I don't exactly know of the harm it can cause but i do know someone who was on birth control and wasn't aware she was pregnant until she was like 3 or 4 months because she was on the shot and it makes your periods so irregular anyways she just didn't think nothing of being irregular until she had some kicking or fluttering then she realized that obviously something was wrong and she was pregnant but anyways she ended up having a healthy baby in the end. So i would just obviously stop using birth control and hope everything is ok. I hope this helps.
