What has happened to Jake Steed?

I'm sure that is what the spin doctors and their assistants want the porn world to believe. I believe they are using Steed's Brazilian escapades (real or imagined) as a smoke screen. Why did Jake suddenly "retire" in 2001? Why would he voluntarily give up a lucrative career he obviously enjoyed and was proficient at? Many entertainers have gone out feet first before anyone knew they'd been longsuffering from cancer, etc.--Gregory Hines, Andy Kaufman, Jerry Orbach. I believe if Steed ain't already kicked the bucket he will soon. Never forget: a porn actor is just like a kamakazi pilot, a Charles Bronson on a death wish.
