What happened to Penny Hardaway?
Penny Hardaway was considered a budding superstar after getting drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1993 and teaming up with Shaquille O'Neal, but he injured his knee in 1997 and has had problems ever since. Some felt that he tried to return too early after injuring his knee, for he lost the explosiveness that he was known for and re-injured his knee a few times afterwards. Eventually Hardaway was traded to the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, and New York Knicks. Hardaway took a hiatus in 2005 to rehabilitate his knee and in 2007, at the age of 36, he signed a contract (for no guaranteed money) with the Miami Heat.
