First, a seed gets planted. Then the roots push out of the seed and into the ground. After a while the stem pushes out of the growing seed. The roots carry water and food up to the plant to help it grow. Then the plant starts sprouting leaves.

Carbon Dioxide helps a plant grow. They take it in, use it to make food, and expel the waste (Oxygen) which we need to breathe, and we expel Carbon Dioxide as our waste, which the plants take back, etc.

You can help a plant grow by giving it the perfect place to grow. It would not be overcrowded and helpful insects that kill threats to the plant e.g greenfly is eaten by ladybird. It would need to have fertiliser put on the soil which gives the plant nutrients also it needs water and sunlight so it can photosynthesise.
