Try ice 5 to 10 minutes on, then off for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also get an ice chip and hold it with your tongue to the inside of the lip. Time will take care of the rest of the swelling.
Hard to say without knowing why the lip is swollen. That said, cold packs/ice packs are most frequently used to reduce swelling from tissue damage or bruising. Make sure whatever caused the swelling is treated as well.
The Ibuprofen will reduce the pain and swelling. The vitamin c is to fight off infection. Keep the piercing area clean.
you can take ibuprofen or suck on ice to help the swelling.
allergic reaction
elevate legs, apply ice, and ibuprophen also helps reduce swelling
Most often, yes. In the first 24 hours, ice helps, as well.
Try using ice
I'm assuming your question refers to how to reduce swelling in your face when you wake. Stomach sleepers will often have swelling in their faces due to pooling of blood and fluids during the night. To reduce swelling in the am, massage the areas to increase circulation. This helps the capillaries return excess fluids to the veins. Then, apply cold compresses. Cold will reduce/constrict blood vessels close to the surface of the skin.
It can get pretty swelled up but it depends on the person. It usually is only for the first week or two. Eat ice and ibuprofen also helps the swelling go down. You piercer should've put a longer bar in so you don't have to worry about it embedding into you're lip. Hope I helped! (:
Assuming the swelling is due to an allergic reaction, antihistamines will help reduce the pain, swelling and itching associated with the release of histamine in the body following exposure to these agents. They will not help swelling from trauma.
Put a long bar/labret post in it. Rings aren't great for swelling piercings because they don't give it enough room. Make sure that the bar is extra long or the end might get embedded. Also, do a ton of warm water soaks. That really helps with swelling.
i have never had my lip pierced, but my friend did and it swelled up, so she put ice on it and the swelling went down. try it. i hope it works for you.
