You might also want to consider vitamins. There are special formulations which are targeted for hair growth and restoration. You also need to engage in activities which cause increased blood flow to the hair follicles. This is the "root" from which the hair develops and grows. Diminished blood supply, and narrowing of the follicle will cause hair loss and thinning. So, activities like scalp massage, brushing your hair while you are bent over at the waste, standing on your head, will help to increase blood flow to the head. Watch out for dizziness. The last and best tip is to cut your hair. For some strange reason, hair grows faster when it is cut. If length is what you are after, try a small trim. This will thicken the ends and stimulate growth.

  • Cutting your hair will not make it grow faster, but it might however make it look a bit thicker. Get a good diet, if you are concerned about your hair then possibly get a blood test checking things like your ferritin levels (iron).

  • Hair grows from the roots, not the ends. Therefore, if you cut your hair, it will have NO IMPACT WHATSOEVER on the growth rate of your hair. I note that you also ask about healthier hair, and cutting off any damage or split ends will improve it's condition (at the ends anyway). Curling irons are the worst thing to put near your hair (closely followed by flat irons and blow fryers so try to limit their use, especially the CI. If you use a blow fryer, don't use it on your ends. - This is the most delicate bit of your hair as they are usually about 6 years old! They needed to be treated really well if you don't want to be cutting off damaged and split ends every month. To improve the quality of your hair, do deep treatments every month, or more if your hair is dry. Apply conditioner to the length and ends of your hair only, your scalp really doesn't need it!   • Eat healthy things like fruit and vegetables to make it healthier... and to make it longer us expensive shampoo you don't have to... get fresh air, and brush it a lot. Prenatal vitamins.

  • Eat protein content food with iron

  • Don't go to bed with wet hair! It will help fight split ends. Also don't put it up when it is wet as it will stretch the hair. When the hair is wet it is already stretched by the water, so if you stretch it longer with a hair tie it will snap the strand, or split its end, where as if it is dry, the hair has more resistance.
