it depends. if the dog has been biten by a poisonous creature, you need to get it to the vet IMMEDIATELY so they can give your dog antivenom. if it just got bit by another dog, take him to the vet so they can fix the wound. it is important that you DO NOT PANIC during either of these matters. Panicing is known to make bites worse, especially if your dog is moving around while it has a venomous bite. Make sure to hold the bite so no poison will travel quickly to its heart. It helps that you have more time to get to the vet.

Well, first it depends on if your dog has had a rabies vaccine in the past year. If it has, then just worry about the bite mark. Make sure it is not infected. If it has not had a rabies vaccine, then you need to take the dog to the vet immediately. If caught early, rabies is easy to cure.
