That would be a very unusual situation. Note that due to the normal process of genetic reshuffling that is involved in human reproduction, the children of the two couples would not be genetically identical even though their parents are.

Can Tay-Sachs occur in twins?

Yes, it is possible. It would be more common if the twins are fraternal that only one twin would be affected by the disease because it is a recessive trait, meaning both parents must be a carrier for the offspring to be affected. If the twins are identical and the tay-sachs gene is present, then boths twins will be infected because identical twins have identical DNA

Are sexually produced offspring genetically identical to either parent?

No. DNA is unique to every person in the world. Even identical twins have DNA markers that are different from each other. Therefore, when you have any offspring, sexually produced or lab-grown, that offspring is going to have a unique combination of DNA from both parents that will be unique only to that offspring.

Why twins are not identical?

By convention, a clone is an engineered offspring derived from the genetic material of a single adult. Identical twins are genetic copies of each other, but they were formed by the splitting of a fertilized zygote rather than by extracting the genetic material of a single adult.

Why are identical twins identical and fraternal twins are not?

Identical twins are formed from a single egg that splits into two. Fraternal twins are formed from two separate eggs that are both separately fertilized. So identical twins have identical DNA, and fraternal twins do not.

How are twins identical?

Twins are identical because they come from the same egg.
