If you abuse your child, then your in serious trouble, if you don't, then you don't have to worry.
The child is usually taken away from the abuser.
If you suspect child abuse, always do the following: 1. Call the police. 2. Call Child Protective Services. 3. Keep documentation.
That's not a specialty. Any doctor has to report what might be abuse. They are obligated like teachers.
Physical or sexual assault- as in the case of the Jon Benet tragedy- yes, of course there are forms of child abuse ( and by extension prisoner-suspect mishandling) that do not do visible damage to the human body- there are techniques of administering slaps and so on to parts of the body which will not show direct signs of abuse=- for example the so-called Knuckle Soup sometimes used by teachers- that does not leave permanent marks. it is still wrong.
Teachers can report abuse to any law enforcement agency and should in a timely manner (immediately). Don't waste time with anyone else as time may be crucial in preventing it from recurring. If police do nothing you can try Child Services.
Public school teachers and administrators in most states are required to report child abuse if they are told about it or see evidence of it themselves. Obviously, once the child abuse is reported, the first thing the authorities do is verify that child abuse actually occurred. This is to prevent parents or guardians from being prosecuted for bogus charges.
The only thing you can do is to bring the child into a pediatrician and have them examine the child for abuse. Tell them you suspect someone and ask that they check for internal scratches or any evidence of abuse. If there is abuse, have it documented and press charges. If the doctor cannot find anything, then there isn't a case. In the future, unless you fully trust your boyfriends, do not allow them alone time with your child.

In Victorian times, yes, they did. But ever since child movements it is illegal to abuse children in school. I am just wondering, why are you asking this? If any teacher you know is doing otherwise, I would contact police.
It would depend on who you disclose the information to. You should not tell any one not associated with the case. It is however a requirement to report suspected or confirmed child abuse to CPS. Responsible parties (teachers, RNs, MDs, ect.) are required by law to report suspected child abuse.
If would think so, they are medical professional. they should do it morally anyway**Any practicing Medical or Dental provider that suspects child abuse legally and ethically HAS to report it or face penalties or suspension of his or her license. By the same token, Registered Dental hygeineists (RDH), Certified Dental Assistants, Teachers, Nurses, attorneys and anyone working with children or working as a childcare provider are also legally and ethically responsible to report child abuse even if they only suspect it. Most medical providers learn in an ethics class that they are a voice (of sorts) of a minor.
