Have the computer scanned and that will determine what needs to be done. Don't replace anything until the scan.

Loosen it, if ATF comes out, it's full, if not, take that cap back off and add some more until it comes out of the check plug (it's very easy to miss! look carefully, driver side, 11mm bolt protruding from side)
