Does it matter? If so, then you will need to call her up and tell her that you are not getting married and, if you choose, say why you said you were. About all anyone can do these days is to admit to errors and fix them as soon as possible. By the way, this is not an unforgiveable thing to have done as I see it. If I were you, I'd tell her the truth, and the sooner the better. You may not have thought at the moment you told her that word would spread among mutual friends and family.
