Restart it by going to the home screen, swiping four fingers up, holding your finger on the apps icon and pressing the Minus symbol. Swipe four fingers down. Relaunch the app from the icon on the home screen. If you're still having problems, check to see if there are updates for the app that fix instabilities or crashes. You can also delete the app and reload it from the app store for no extra charge.
You have to turn it all the way off and then turn it back on
Hold down the button on the top left of the iPod and wait till it turns off and then hold it down till it turns back on, and it should work.

The reason why Windows 8 apps may stop working is that they have not been updated. You may be forced to reinstall the apps in order to get them working again.

3rd party apps refer to apps that dont come installed on the decice, or that arent developed by Google. Examples... Evernote Angry Birds Facebook Twitter K9 Mail Timely RealCalc Any.Do These are all Third Party Apps..
All you can really do is go to the apple store and they'll try to fix it
you may need to update your apps or restart the apps.
See if there is an updated version of the app.
